SkyeTec’s Wind Certification: If you choose to order a private certification, you will receive an email from SkyeTec immediately confirming your order and providing a SkyeTec Tracking Number. You will need to refer to this number if you inquire about the status of your certification or report at anytime. Within seven days a SkyeTec Inspector will contact you by phone to schedule a certification time that is convenient for you. Your UMVIF form will be provided to you on-site at the conclusion of the certification. You should file this form with your insurance agent to see if you qualify for any available insurance discounts.

MSFH Free Certification: You will receive an email from SkyeTec immediately confirming your application. Within seven days you will receive a second email from the Florida Department of Financial Services with your MSFH Tracking Number. You will need to refer to this number if you inquire about the status of your certification or report at anytime. Within two weeks of receiving your tracking number a SkyeTec Inspector will contact you by phone to schedule a certification time that is convenient for you. Your UMVIF form will be provided to you on-site at the conclusion of the certification. You should file this form with your insurance agent if you qualify for any available insurance discounts. Within 60 days after the certification you will receive a recommendations report from the state including your hurricane resistance rating score and information on making improvements to receive greater savings on insurance premiums and further protect your home in case of windstorms.

Re-Certifications: By choosing to invest in certain home improvements or retrofitting for better wind resistance, you may qualify for additional insurance discounts.
